Informal Showing of Alexa’s work-in-progress Friday September 6th, 3PM - 5PM
Alexa Mardon (animator/artistic associate) is in residency for a solo work in progress from September 3rd-6th, 2019.
As part of their residency, Alexa will lead morning practice and open the studio to choreographic co-working in the afternoons.
There will be a library available in the space throughout the week.

10-11:45 Alexa leads morning practice*
*we will practice letting go. we will practice getting out of the way of ourselves so that we can attend to what is happening. we will practice working on, through, and with the seen and unseen. we will practice being together as a group and alone together. we will practice doing and witnessing. we will practice articulating what is happening to ourselves and each other. will we will practice devotions large and small.
morning practice will be geared to those with an existing movement practice, with an intention to orient ourselves to the afternoon working sessions.
11:45-1pm lunch break
1pm-3pm: co-working/working side by side*
*co-working is available to anyone who would like to share space to work choreographically. what this means is up to you. we will co-create guidelines for getting what we need in this shared environment.
Friday, September 6th
3pm-5pm open rehearsal / showing of Alexa's work in progress
Mascall Dance is located at 1130 Jervis Street, within St. Paul's Anglican Church. Mascall's space is inside the Labyrinth, on the second floor, with one set of stairs leading to the space. These stairs have a stairlift. Gendered bathrooms are located down two flights of stairs, and there is an accessible (though gendered) washroom in an adjacent space.
