Improvisation With Jennifer Mascall:
April 29th-May 2nd, May 6th to 9th

There are so many ways to approach improvisation. I agree with whoever said it was the highest art form. Some of us improvise because we cannot remember the steps and some of us improvise because we think can offer varied points of view on what has been suggested. This workshop will explore the complexity of studying ourselves to know what is an impulse and crafting the discipline of our imagination.

In the workshops, I will offer the ensemble both anatomical and imaginative sources for expression. We will find ways to yield enough to become almost invisible, in order for the space to speak: then sourcing the urge of the arrival of a three-dimensional expression. Assembling what has influenced my thinking, this workshop will open the ensemble to the light of these influences.
